What Registration Does and Does Not Tell You
Registration confirms that a company exists and meets certain regulatory requirements. It does not, on its own, guarantee construction quality, technical competence, project completion or regulatory approval. Those depend on sound planning, qualified people, clear agreements and responsible execution.
So we encourage you to review our certificates alongside our portfolio of completed and ongoing projects, our services and the terms of any project we discuss with you.
5 Checks to Make Before Hiring Any Construction Company in Nigeria
1. Verify the company's identity
Confirm the registered name and number on the CAC portal, and make sure the name on quotations, contracts and invoices matches.
2. Review relevant experience
Ask for a portfolio, completed projects and ongoing sites. Where possible, speak to past clients and visit a site.
3. Understand the services included
Architectural design, structural engineering, construction, surveying and project management are different responsibilities. Know which are in your agreement and who handles each.
4. Get clear project documentation
Before work begins, agree the scope, drawings, material specifications, budget, payment schedule, timeline, supervision arrangements and approvals in writing.
5. Judge communication and accountability
A professional relationship includes clear communication, documented decisions, regular reporting and an agreed process for handling changes.
